Below is a nonprofit proposal I wrote academically. Writing this proposal allowed me to use my creativity to design a literary nonprofit that highlights my passion for exploring writing. I combined my problem-solving and persuasive writing skills to propose a nonprofit that will battle today’s declining reading habits. I will use these skills to develop solutions for changing and promoting the company brand image. The research I conducted on nonprofits for this project sparked my desire to work with a nonprofit.
Boundless Book Club Nonprofit
In this assignment I drafted a proposal for a nonprofit online book club idea that I created. I conducted background research on why my nonprofit is needed, how it operates, and the costs and obstacles I would encounter if I pursued starting the nonprofit. While writing the proposal, I implemented persuasive writing skills to convince my professor to invest in my nonprofit. Learning how to format a proposal, understanding the research that is needed to complete a proposal, and practicing persuasive writing prepared me to write future proposals effectively.
